Business may be carried out either in the form of unincorporated or incorporated enterprises. General and limited partnerships have the status of legal entities. However, for tax purposes the partners are taxed personally with respect to the profits of the partnership accruing to them. Lebanon also permits the use of joint stock companies and limited liability companies.
